Did you know? July 23rd is celebrated as National Children’s Day in Indonesia.
Children are the future generation of our nation and have the right to a prosperous life, one of which is quality education. Speaking of children and their education, BPS Batu Bara provides data on the School Participation Rate (APS) for children aged 7-18 years and the Net Enrollment Rate (APM) for elementary, middle, and high school students, as shown in the following BARISTA infographic!
**APS** indicates the proportion of school-age children attending educational levels appropriate for their age group. It serves as a basic indicator to assess access to educational facilities, especially for school-aged populations.
**APM** indicates how many school-aged children are utilizing educational facilities according to their educational level.
In 2023, the APS for children aged 7-12 was 99.11, meaning that out of 100 children aged 7-12 years in Batu Bara Regency, approximately 99-100 children are attending school, regardless of the educational level.
In 2023, the APM for elementary school children was also 99.11, meaning that out of 100 children aged 7-12 years, 99-100 children are attending elementary school.
