Abstract
• In March 2018, NTP of Sumatera Utara (2012 = 100) was recorded at 98.36 or up 0.47 percent compared to NTP of February 2018 of 97.89.
• The increase in NTP in March 2018 was due to the increase in the NTP subsector of the Smallholder Plantation by 2.23 percent. While NTP Subsector of Food Crops decreased by 0.32 percent, NTP Horticulture Sub-sector decreased by 1.02 percent, NTP Livestock Subsector decreased by 0.33 percent, and NTP fisheries sub-sector decreased by 0.32 percent.
• Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In March 2018, there was a rural inflation rate in North Sumatra of 0.29 percent. This was caused by the increase of index in all Household consumption groups, namely foodstuff index by 0.34 percent, foodstuff, beverage, cigarette and tobacco index by 0.43 percent, housing group index by 0.04 percent, index the clothing group by 0.16 percent, the health group index by 0.14 percent, the education, recreation and sports group index by 0.04 percent, and the transportation and communication group index by 0.28 percent.
• Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of Sumatera Utara March 2018 was 107.29 or up 0.60 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.Related Official Statistics News
