The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Sumatra Utara in February 2019 reached 23.342 visits

·       The number of foreign tourist arrivals in Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in February 2019 reached 23,342 visits, increased by 33.61 percent compared to the number of visits in January 2019 which was 17,470 visits.

·       In February 2019, the number of tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 30.21 percent compared to the same period in 2018, from 17,926 visits in 2018 increased to 23,342 visits in 2019.

·       In February 2019, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the largest number of visitors with 10,950 visits or 46.91 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

·       The Hotel Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification in Sumatera Utara in February 2019 reached an average of 45.31 percent, up 1.55 points compared to January 2019 of 43.76 percent.

·       The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in hotels star classification in February 2019 reached 1.80 days, up 0.19 points compared to January 2019.

·       The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during February 2019 reached 198,881 passengers, down 29.19 percent compared to January 2019 which reached 280,839 passengers.

·       The number of interisland (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing in February 2019 was 33,003 passengers, up 46.73 percent compared to the previous month's 22,492 passengers.
