Abstract

In the December 2020 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra has decreased by 99.78 percent compared to the same period in 2019, namely from 24,113 visits in 2019 to 54 visits in 2020
In December 2020, foreign tourists from Malaysia were the largest visitors with 21 visits or 38.89 percent of the total foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in December 2020 reached an average of 41.02 percent, an increase of 6.61 points compared to November 2020 of 34.41 percent.
The number of domestic passengers departing from North Sumatra via Kualanamu International Airport during December 2020 reached 133,481 people, or an increase of 14.13 percent compared to November 2020 which reached 116,956 people.
The number of domestic inter-island sea transport passengers departing in December 2020 was recorded at 3,574 people, an increase of 102.72 percent compared to the previous month of 1,763 people.
