Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in January 2023 reached 14,195 visits, while in December 2022 there were 19,198 foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara.
For the January 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara cannot be compared to the same period in 2021, namely from 0 visits in January 2022 it has increased to 14,195 visits in January 2023.
The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in January 2023 averaged 42.59 percent, or decreased by 9.18 points compared to December 2022 of 51.77 percent.
The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.39 days during January 2023, down 0.10 points compared to December 2022 of 1.49 days.
The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during January 2023 recorded 255,345 people, up 28.48 percent compared to December 2022 which recorded 198,739 people.
The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transport passengers departing during January 2023 was recorded at 22,102 people, an increase of 110.66 percent compared to the previous month of 10,492 people.
