April 2023, Sumatera Utara's exports have decreased by 23.33 percent

Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the Sumatera Utara region in April 2023 decreased compared to March 2023, namely from US$910.39 million to US$698.02 million or a decrease of 23.33 percent. When compared to April 2022, Sumatera Utara's exports decreased by 45.93 percent.
The category of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value in April 2023 compared to March 2023 was the animal/vegetable fats and oils, which decreased by US$104.88 million (-28.12%), while the group of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value was the dregs group. /food industry residue of US$3.84 million (6.94%).
Exports to China in April 2023 were the largest, namely US$112.24 million, followed by the United States of US$85.49 million and India of US$57.06 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 36.50 percent.
According to the main export destination countries in April 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$265.33 million (38.01%)
