Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in June 2023 increased compared to May 2023, namely from US$837.30 million to US$900.36 million, an increase of 7.53 percent. When compared to June 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 28.74 percent
The category of goods that experienced the largest increase in export value in June 2023 compared to May 2023 was the animal/vegetable fats and oils, which increased by US$105.26 million (31.91%), while the group of goods that experienced the largest decline in export value were various chemical products. of US$25.89 million (-24.05%) .
Exports to China in June 2023 were the largest, namely US$133.14 million, followed by the United States of US$132.53 million and India of US$78.47 million with the contribution of the three of them reaching 38.23 percent.
According to the main group of export destinations in June 2023, exports to the Asian region (outside ASEAN) were the largest with a value of US$307.46 million (34.15%).
