Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Sumatera Utara through 4 (four) entrances in December 2023 reached 18,440 visits, while in November 2023 there were 15,071 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.
  • In the January - December 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 164.46 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 74,498 visits in January - December 2022, it rose to 197,015 visits in the 2023 period.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Sumatera Utara in December 2023 averaged 53.76 percent, or an increase of 0.57 points compared to November 2023 of 53.19 percent.
  • The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.39 days during December 2023, down 0.13 points compared to November 2023 of 1.52 days.
