Abstract
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
In February 2022, the NTP of Sumatera Utara Province (2018=100) was recorded at 125.83 or decreased by 0.72 percent compared to the NTP of January 2022, which was 126.75.
The increase in FTT in February 2022 was caused by a decrease in FTT in all sub-sectors, namely the FTT for the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.62 percent, the NTP for the Horticulture sub-sector by 0.19 percent, the NTP for the People's Plantation Sub-sector by 0.72 percent, and the NTP for the Livestock sub-sector by 1.55. percent, and the NTP of the Fisheries sub-sector by 0.57 percent.
Changes in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation/deflation. In February 2022, rural inflation in Sumatera Utara was 0.55 percent.
