Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (wisman) visiting Sumatera Utara through 3 (three) entry points in September 2024 reached 25,149 visits, while in August 2024 there were 22,261 foreign tourists who visited Sumatera Utara.

In the period January - September 2024, the number of foreign tourists visiting Sumatera Utara increased by 27.00 percent when compared to the same period in 2023, namely from 149,136 visits in January - September 2023 to 189,399 visits in the period 2024.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in Sumatera Utara in September 2024 averaged 57.76 percent, or increased by 9.10 points compared to August 2024 which was 48.66 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.63 days during September 2024, up 0.28 points compared to August 2024 which was 1.35 days.
