Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (wisman) visiting North Sumatra through 3 (three) entry points in October 2024 reached 20,292 visits, while in September 2024 there were 25,149 foreign tourists who visited North Sumatra.

In the period January - October 2024, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 28.37 percent when compared to the same period in 2023, namely from 163,348 visits in January - October 2023 to 209,691 visits in the period 2024.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of starred hotels in North Sumatra in October 2024 averaged 46.23 percent, or decreased by 11.53 points compared to September 2024 which was 57.76 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.34 days during October 2024, down 0.29 points compared to September 2024 of 1.63 days.
